• About 60,000 lawsuit claims have been filed against Johnson & Johnson for their talcum powder-based products' alleged link to cancer.
• Since 2016, multiple lower courts have found J&J responsible for undue medical hardship for a handful of plaintiffs,  resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars in verdicts against J&J.
• In 2025, legal action is ongoing in J&J’s attempt to resolve thousands of claims nationwide through a bankruptcy and corporate restructuring of a subsidiary company. This strategy would allow J&J to pay over $9 billion to compensate victims.
